me w the buffyverse: there are any number of reasons to dislike these shows, btvs most especially, from simple personal taste to larger, SJ-grounded issues with its White Feminism, exceptionally poor treatment of black femalc characters, arguably shaming treatment of promiscuity and female sexuality, the fate of cordelia chase which sprung from joss whedon's real life issues and mistreatment of charisma carpenter, all of season six of btvs, and more. while they were certainly influential and important to pop culture and the increasing state of respect for genre television in america, no one is beholden or required to respect buffy and angel or think they are good.
